This online 1-on-1 training and coaching is aimed for those individuals who want to learn how to paint in oils. As a personal coach I can also guide you with your own work.
If you already paint but have questions or find difficulties about anything that concerns the technicality of painting, then I can guide you to figure out your way and in the right direction.
As we are bombarded by loads of information which sometimes is either outright wrong or confusing, my background knowledge and experience in science makes me competent to give you good and reliable advice about art materials and how to use them properly in order to avoid future problems with your artworks. My advice is based on scientific knowledge and not about "what works for me".
You do not want to spend so much time on creating an artwork and then find out that you used your tools wrongly compromising the longevity of your work and if you are a selling artist, your career. This is where I can help you.
These classes are suitable for beginners as well as more advanced students.
Sessions are tailor made for your personal needs. You don't need to have a regular class every week if you do not need.
There will be targeting exercises and demonstrations covering various basic aspects of art such as paint/colour mixing. These exercises (or deliberate practice) will help you develop skills including observational skills and how you see and perceive colour and tone.
Students will be also given small projects to complete in between sessions. This will ensure that students do practice on their own in order to develop the skill. Students will be asked to present their work on the next session.
