Looking up at the sky makes me wonder at the vastness of the universe. The color of the sky changes as the sun traverse east to west with the course of the day. The sky in itself does not have color and all the colors that we see are a result of light scatter as white light coming from the sun hits atmospheric particles of gases, humidity, dust and debris. As the sun gets lower and the shadows become longer, the sky colors become warmer ranging from yellow, orange, red and pink.
Clouds also give spectacular shows in the sky as light from the sun hits them. Towering storm clouds offer a dramatic show of colors especially at sunset. One can see the contrast between the warm tones where light is and the complementary cooler shadows.
